Switch Instagram to a Professional account
Personal Instagram accounts can’t connect. Switching to Creator or Business is free and takes a minute.
Switch in the Instagram app
- 01Open the Instagram app and go to your profile.
- 02Tap the menu (the three lines, top right).
- 03Tap Settings and activity.
- 04Tap Account type and tools.
- 05Tap Switch to professional account.
- 06Choose Creator (or Business) and finish.
It’s free and takes about a minute. Your posts and followers stay the same, and you don’t need a Facebook Page.
Then connect
Come back to Orbit8 and tap Connect Instagram again. If you were already on the “personal account” message, tap “I’ve switched — try again”.
